Florida spring

Garys Grotto

A spring vent complex located near the floor of the bay. The feature consists of shallow limestone-fracture openings (some as small as 1 ft wide) in the bay bottom, typically in depths from 0.5 to about 10 ft below water surface. The discharge is described as moderate, and the complex lacks formal swim-area development or land-based amenities. Access is via water, and caution is needed as the vents are shallow and scattered within a residential/mixed use shoreline.
