Nestled near Deer Point Lake’s feeder streams, its shallow basin—approximately 5-10 feet deep—offers a quiet spot for swimming and kayaking, surrounded by pine forests and scrub. Accessible via Blue Springs Rd (no boat needed), it’s on private property, so seek permission. Summer weekends draw locals—arrive early for calm. For quiet, visit weekdays in spring (April-May) or fall (September-October), mornings ideal. There's a pretty cool cave at this location. There is a livery nearby and tours are available but paddlers typically opt out of paddling upstream for the visit. Boats on the creek are limited to 9.9 hp. Water clarity is typically vivid but can cloud with runoff after rain. Check —stable, low levels around 6-7 feet ensure clarity, clearest from late fall to early spring during dry periods.
