A coastal karst spring that forms the headwaters of Indian Creek in the marsh just inland of the Gulf. The vent discharges clear groundwater into a shallow tidal creek that meanders through the Hernando Beach flats before reaching open water. Access is public via the tidal waterway (small craft/kayak); adjacent uplands are a mix of preserve and private parcels. Clarity at the vent is typically good at lower tides and weaker on strong flood tides when bay water pushes back into the creek.
