Set along the Suwannee River, its deep basin—up to 52 feet—offers a scenic spot for kayaking and snorkeling, surrounded by hardwoods and limestone bluffs. Accessible only by boat from Royal Spring County Park off CR 349 (0.25 miles downriver), it’s on private land, so respect boundaries. Summer weekends draw paddlers—arrive early for calm. For quiet, visit weekdays in spring (April-May) or fall (September-October), mornings ideal. Water clarity is typically greenish but beautiful. Check for stable levels around 20 feet for the best experience. As levels drop below 18.5 feet the diving platform may close and you can expect the run to be dry.
