The Crack

A small spring in the Spring Lake complex (headwaters of Dry Creek, in the Chipola River basin). The vent is an oblate fissure roughly 30 ft × 12 ft with a maximum depth ~12 ft, showing a light surface boil where clear groundwater upwells beneath a limestone ledge. The surrounding Spring Lake shoreline is privately owned, and there’s no established public waterway access to the vent itself, so treat this as not publicly accessible. A published clarity threshold linked to any river gage is not known.
