Hole In The Wall Spring

A spring cave vent located within the pond spring system. The spring emerges through an underwater limestone opening and cave passage that discharges cool, clear groundwater from the Floridan aquifer into the pond, forming a distinct spring pool and cavern entry popular with experienced cave divers and paddlers exploring the spring-fed waters. Hole in the Wall isn’t a typical resort-style spring boil — access is usually by boat or kayak, and it’s known for its cave passages and scenic karst features beneath the surface of Merritt’s Mill Pond.
