Accessible via SR 19 to Silver Glen Springs Recreation Area (no boat needed, entry fee), it’s a short walk from parking. Summer weekends pack the area—arrive by 8 AM. For quiet, visit weekdays in spring (April-May) or fall (September-October), mornings ideal. Water clarity is typically excellent when the gage height is near baseflow conditions, generally around 1 ft. Levels significantly above that can introduce turbidity, while lower readings closer to 0.8–1 ft indicate clearer spring-dominated conditions.
