Glen Spring

This spring once fed a spring pool and run flowing into the creek. The spring rises in a wooded ravine and flows through a series of concrete-lined pools on private property formerly developed as a popular swimming site in the early-to-mid 20th century. Although the old spring pool remains on the property of the Elks Lodge, the water continues to discharge into Glen Springs Run, which flows into Hogtown Creek and then into the local watershed. The spring itself is on private land and not open for general public swimming or direct access, but Glen Springs Run can be viewed from Alfred A. Ring Park, a public park just downstream where the spring-fed creek joins Hogtown Creek.
