Catfish (Sink) Hotel
Suwannee RiverChieflandPublic
Photo by: Nomadic FloridianA unique sinkhole and dive site. Surrounded by a lush, wooded landscape, the sink provides access to an extensive underwater cave system connected to the Manatee Springs system. Its dark, often vegetation-covered surface gives little indication of the remarkable underwater environment below. Catfish Hotel is especially popular with certified cave and cavern divers and is one of several notable karst features found throughout the park. While is sink is scuba diving only. The park does offer swimming, paddling, and many other amenities. Contributed by the Nomadic Floridian - Find her on the leaderboard.
