Trotter Upper Spring

The spring issues clear water from a limestone fissure approximately 2–3 ft beneath the river surface, discharging into a shallow pool that flows immediately into the Homosassa River. Access is public via paddling on the river, although the vent lies along a riverbank reachable only from within the public waterway. For the best chance of water clarity, look for low stable water height conditions below 5 feet.
