Its dual vents form a shallow pool, about 5-10 feet deep, surrounded by cypress trees and lush greenery, ideal for swimming and snorkeling with a gentle run to the Santa Fe River. Accessible by a short trail from the main park area, it’s a peaceful retreat, rarely overcrowded even on busy summer weekends. For the quietest experience, hit it mid-week in early spring (March-April) or late fall (October-November), when the water’s clarity dazzles in solitude. Alcohol only at campsites. Some areas may not be accessible to visitors with disabilities. Give them a call before you visit for the lastest accommodations. Water clarity is usually excellent but may dim with river backflow during wet periods. Clear water is most reliable with low Santa Fe levels.
