Situated along the Choctawhatchee River, the spring discharges from a triangular limestone opening into a 40-foot-wide pool, with a short run to the river. Surrounded by sandy silt and occasional snags, it’s a pristine spot for swimming, snorkeling, and kayaking, though accessible only by water (boat or paddle). Surrounding land is private. Water clarity is vivid during dry periods (October-April), but agricultural runoff can cloud the spring after heavy rain. Launching from nearby landings like Old Warehouse or Cerrogordo Landing. Paddlers can navigate a short distance to the spring’s run. The springs is almost completely browned out with a water height of 6 feet. A water height below 4 feet is optimal.
