The main vent lies at the head of the run (~100 ft) and is estimated to have a maximum depth of 25 ft, while the secondary vent is ~10 ft across and ~5 ft deep. No strong surface boil is typically visible, and the spring is fed through cracks in the limestone bottom. The banks are heavily vegetated; a ~20-ft bluff rises on the southeast side of the run. The spring run flows westward into Holmes Creek about 0.9 miles downstream from the Big Pine boat ramp. The spring is located on privately owned land, though there is evidence it’s used for fishing and possibly swimming. Access via waterway or gain permission before visiting. Jet Skis are prohibited on Holmes Creek in Washington County. Ord 97-12 Look for water clarity below 14 feet. Clarity will improve with lower water levels.
